you were always late
in coming home,
so one night i decided
to follow you out,
i wore my heels,
my little black dress.
my lips shade of cherry red.
i followed you down
the dark streets.
you entered a club,
as a lady welcomed you.
i decided to come in,
the lights were reds, yellows
blinking, bright
the dance floor and
dancing lively, passionate.
i sat at the bar,
and ordered myself a cocktail.
the ladies were beautiful,
short dress and long legs.
lips taunting and cleavage on display.
"no wonder.." i thought as i sip my cocktail.
